Lot 1264
Aurelian, 270-275. Antoninianus (Bronze, 20 mm, 3.04 g, 11 h), Cyzicus, late 270. IMP C DOM AVRELIANVS AVG Radidate, draped and cuirassed bust of Aurelian to right. Rev. FIDES MILITVM Fides standing left, holding standard in right hand and transverse scepter in left. Cohen 86. RIC 328. RIC online 2833. Rare. The obverse somewhat weakly struck, otherwise, good very fine.

This coin belongs to the first emission of Aurelian: the portrait is clearly that of Claudius II, indicating that the mint was still used to portray Aurelian's predecessor
